Work continues on one of our latest additions at the Adirondack Folk School. We have been showing photos of the progress of this project on Face Book and asking if folks know what our master stone mason George Mosca is building. We have had guesses from garages for a 2 slot tractor garage, to kilns. It isn’t either. Any more guesses? Hint – we will be having classes with our new addition late this fall.

With the help of some very dedicated volunteers and the generous time of Lou Savage of Stanley Black & Decker, all the tracks were added this week to the new H.H.M. Pavilion (Inspiring Hands, Heart & Mind). Construction of the pavilion which begun in April and should be completed in September now houses the folk school blacksmith program, boatbuilding, and children’s programs. Starting in 2012 we will also have our ceramics classes in the new pavilion. Thank you to all of the volunteers who assisted with these last few days of construction. Great job team!
