Registration

Registration Information:

Registration assistance for the Adirondack Folk School Classes is provided through SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education, in Queensbury, NY.

All classes offered by the Adirondack Folk School, a not for profit §501(c)(3) corporation in Lake Luzerne, NY, are non-credit classes intended for adult learning and in some cases adults &/or children who are accompanied by adults.  As a not for profit school, your tuition is our primary means of support, along with membership and donations.

The purpose of the Adirondack Folk School is to teach the arts, crafts and culture of the Adirondacks in a non-competitive environment focused on the student.  Our classes are intentionally small in size – typically no more than 8 – 12 students per class – to allow for greater one-on-one learning and instruction.  Our instructors are often local crafts people and artisans who want to share their passion for their craft and help others to discover their own creativity.

Register as early as possible, as courses fill quickly.  If you find a course you want to take close to the start date, call Continuing Education at 518-743-2238, as some times last minute changes may have left a spot open just for you!

Be sure to come 15 minutes prior to the start of class to pick up your student packet at the front office.

Upon receipt of registration form and payment, space is reserved.  Confirmation will be sent out via mail.  A liability release will be issued and signature required at the first class.  For local accommodations, restaurants and other points of interest in and around the Adirondack Folk School and the Lake Luzerne area, please see our “Places to Stay, Eat & Things to Do” pages on the “About Us” section of our website, www.adirondackfolkschool.org.

Refund Policy:

100% tuition and fees will be refunded up to two full business days (must be at least 48 hours, unless otherwise indicated) prior to the start of the program. SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education must be notified during regular business hours – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This refund policy was adopted to support efficient and effective management of AFC offerings.  No refunds will be processed once the 48-hour deadline has passed and credit cannot be applied to another course. Exceptions to the refund policy will be rare and considered only under unusually mitigating circumstances. Please note, that a few classes cannot be cancelled less than two weeks prior to the class date due to purchase of materials. An example would be the Timber Framing classes.
