Cooking with Herbs

Herbs can transform everyday foods into delicious meals! The difference between spaghetti sauce and plain old tomato sauce is oregano and a variety of other herbs. One of the simplest ways to use herbs is to add them to our food. How many herbs do you use in your cooking? We will take a look at the herbs most often used in cooking along with the importance of taste and techniques that enhance the flavor of our foods. We will taste individual herbs and discuss which herbs pair well with what foods. This will give students the inspiration and confidence to add them to any of their meals at home! The instructor will also bring something from her home to share with students.
